چکیده
“Breakthrough” of psychosis despite good compliance antipsychotics medication for a long time is major obstacle to the treatment schizophrenia, whether mechanism caused by dopamine hypersensitivity or insufficient dose antipsychotics. Researchers advocating “Dopamine Supersensitivity Psychosis” (DSP) emphasize avoid excessive inhibition 2 receptors from beginning treatment. On other hand, researchers “Breakthrough on Antipsychotic Maintenance Medication” (BAMM) in which recurs due continuous administration without non-adherence argue that should be increased enhance therapeutic effect. In patients using long-acting injection (LAI), non-compliance can ruled out. We believe treating non-affective psychosis, it necessary continuously maintain lowest possible optimal considering side effects second-generation and cycle stage formulation such as LAI.

Long-acting injectable antipsychotics: recommendations for clinicians.
A major source of limitation to the real effectiveness of antipsychotics is the high rate of patient nonadherence or, more frequently, partial adherence. Using long-acting injectable (LAI) formulations is likely to reduce the impact of such adherence problems. Conversely, the use of LAIs in Canada remains low relative to many other jurisdictions. Based on effectiveness data from randomized cont...

The effectiveness of any treatment depends on three principal factors: efficacy, adverse effects, and adherence. The first two factors (efficacy and adverse effects) have been the focus of medical reasoning for decades. Adherence has been recently receiving increased attention in the pharmacological treatment of medical conditions such as diabetes and hypertension, as well as psychiatric disord...

BACKGROUND Despite many advantages of long-acting injectable antipsychotics (LAIA), this type of therapy is still underused in routine practice. Since psychiatrists' attitudes play an important role in prescription rate of LAIA, we found it valuable to examine their attitudes because, according to our knowledge, there hasn't been similar research in Croatia so far. SUBJECTS AND METHODS In thi...
